Events have happened..

Wow what eventful few days we have had. First off we had our Back to school Shoots done by: Wendy Ternes Photography local here in Yucaipa, CA. We love every photo she took, they all came out so cute! We also threw baby Ford in there. He's so tiny I know, but just so gosh darn cute not too.

Lincoln has started pre-preschool (he is 30 months). And its funny to tell you that my girls had more of a hard time dropping him off than me. They were concerned and Brittyn had a tear in her eye at one moment...so cute! We dropped Lincoln off at school and enjoyed the library in peace ha!

We got him the cutest little back pack from Kissui Baby and Children in downtown Redlands. Here is the link if you absolutely need one in your little ones life. Don't forget the matching lunch pail. They are the perfect size for a 2 year old. I love it!!

Annnnd another AWESOME thing happen this week. Hubby qualified for the Mid-am SCGA Golf tournament!!! Wow...he is still in shock he qualified.  He not only qualified he placed 1st place out of 75 players. Gosh this guy totally amazes me. Works full time, goes to school weekly to finish his Masters degree, 4 kids and family. Sheeshh who has time to win the Masters? haha! He has one more qualifier in Pennsylvana if he is one of the top players he will be invited to the Masters in Augusta, Georgia. Pretty dang exciting!!

SCHOOL UPDATE.....
We are bitting our nails waiting for all of our curriculum and goodies to come in. Looking forward to looking through all of it. It kinda feels like christmas ha! Our Summer vaca almost is at an end. Looking forward to sharing everything with all of you.

Talk to you later

Everyone needs this in there life....

What does everyone need in there life?? Is a good ol' friend. You know we all have one of those childhood friends we lost contact with, right? Well I don't have very many that I don't talk to anymore. I still keep in contact with most, thanks to Facebook :) yea!

God knew what my little shy self needed to enter into middle school. Jayme moved in next door with her little sister and we because instant friends. My first week walking to school she full on pushed me in the bushes. All you could see of me was my feet sticking out. I wasn't used to ruff friends like that ha! But soon came to learn her personality and she became a true blue friend to me.

I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy. Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun! Being an adult its hard to find those good people you click with. Life gets busy with kids and you don't have time for friends, seems like. Today Jayme and I got our little guys together for a lunch date and the park. Its crazy to see the cycle of life turn now our kids play as Jayme and I used to. Wanted to share some awesome old pic of use thinking we were models ha!
Wish I was that skinny again :)

I love Lincolns shirt he wore today!! Here is where I got it :)

My Meal Planner I just got!!!

Meal Planner by: Carrie Elle

Happy Wednesday!!
I am super excited to show you these two books I have. They not only help me with organizing but they helped me save money. Who doesn't like to be organized and save money?! To be honesty it is hard to keep up with, but for the most part I do good.

I wanted to share with you the Meal planner. I haven't yet used this one yet because I just received it. But can't wait to use it next week. I like to start my weeks on Mondays because it works best for us.
We use the DAVE RAMEY method of for saving and budgeting money. We have the Ramsey envelope system wallet, but I am dying to get the SECRET GARDEN-WALLET system she has below and only $25!! That is on my next to get list.
Well I wanted to show you inside of the MEAL PLANNER book. The book is great quality and has beautiful colors and is spiral bound. Very well put together!

This is a coupon envelope sleeve you can use to put you coupons or cash Yea!

I have one more favorite CALENDAR book I LOOOVVE to use is TOOLS FOR WISDOM PLANNER JULY 2016-JUNE 2017
(you can click on the name to see where I got it from)
You can put your Calendar dates in this book by month then by break down times. There is so much in this book it is AWESOME!! Im going to sit down this weekend and put my meals in for the week and check the calendar to see when I will need meals.
Excuse the branding on it...I like stickers!!!

You can also color between folders (awesome)

There is also tips and tricks pages on how to accomplish your yearly goals. Long term goals, short term goals and all that good stuff. As my husband always tell me "Write it down, there is power in writing something down" It is good to look back on something and to see it accomplished.

SPEAKING OF MEAL PLANNING!! Here is what I am making for dinner tonight.
Cilantro Lime Chicken tacos with white rice.....yummm!!

Thank again for hanging out with me today. Hope to have helped some of you with ideas and tips to getting your Meal Planning on.
Here is video I promised of someone using her Meal planner
Have a wonderful day!

On my 3rd Cup of Coffee!!!

On my 3rd cup of joe right now and I feel like I have not done a single thing today ha! We had no coffee but then my favorite UPS man dropped this at my door step. Just in time..thank you Amazon! I love this COFFEE and happy it is super cheap $29 for 80 K-cups...SCORE!!!

Thought I would share I got them on AMAZON

Homeschool room coming along.....

We have 34 more days until the school year starts...we are getting excited!! We enrolled at SAGE OAK this year and look forward to our first year. Of course it is really scary for me because all these thoughts of failure keep running through my mind. But I have confidence in my TF and other moms to help me through this year.

Well we went a little over board with our homeschool purchases for the classroom. But thought "hey" we won't need to buy all this stuff again. We went to Ikea this weekend and shopped with the 2 boys and got what we needed. I LOVE IKEA!!! They have such cool and great priced items.

Thankfully my dad had 2 glass desks we can use this year for both girls (score). I am turning our dining room into the school room. Because lets face it who ever uses their pretty dining room? It wasn't getting used and I felt it was waisted space. Soooo I sold my beautiful dining table in order to make room for all the desks YAY!

Here are a few pictures below of our Homeschool room right now. We are going to move out my vintage buffet and beautiful shabby piano. We hope to get everything set up this weekend and I will share some come-a-long pictures for you guys. Enjoy!

 Have a wonderful day!!

How to start a Small Craft business--Monique Bockmann

How to start a Small Craft business
By: Monique Bockmann

Hello future Entrepreneurs:

First off “Go You” for the interest in wanting to start a business. Making your own schedule, own product and OWN MONEY! Sounds good so far? Yes, that is what I like about having my own business. I often get asked how I started my business, and if I have tips on how they can too. Most who ask are stay at home mother's , ambitious teens, or very crafty people, wanting to turn their hobby into a way to make money.

10 helpful tips to start you on your way:
  1. Find a little niche you enjoy doing (something unique) this makes business making so much more fun. If it is something that takes a lot of time and is not enjoyable to make your desire will fizz out fast
  2. Name your self! Think up a fun (something unique) with a cool logo that you can use to identify your self. Order business cards, banners and labels to tag your items
  3. Make inventory: Now you got all of that set up “Start working” make enough inventory to be ready to ship. Once your inventory is stocked up now LET’S SELL! You want to have ready to ship items before advertising
  4. Start selling: For small craft businesses it is good to start selling on ETSY.COMEBAY.COM or any other routes of selling your products. Also, talk to other vendors!  This is a great way to see what is working for them, and where they have had the best results from.
  5. Pricing: Pricing can be a bit tricky sometimes. Look on social media sites, and see what people are selling similar items to yours for. But just to start out: Write down how much it cost to make and double that and then some.
  6. Set up Social media: Suggested social media Facebook, Instagram and others. Create an account with your business name and start posting!!
  7. Getting the word out: Start telling friends, family, neighbors EVERYONE! Word of mouth is the most powerful advertisement.
  8. Giveaways: Look on social media for brand reps that will model your product to send you GOOD pictures. Give them FREE products! They will help you get followers. Do it as much as you can. Send out items to people that will tell about your product and help you get the word out about your awesome product
  9. You are starting out with this business as just a Hobby. There are next steps you need to take for selling when you sell at local market nights or any city events. Business license, city license. That is for the next blog :)

Just a few tips on how to start a craft business or whatever it is you would like to do and turn it into a business. Be awesome and let me know if this was helpful for to you.
